Male students - Young men are enrolled primarily in 6th grade. Seats for 7th & 8th grades will be filled according to availability. Please apply or contact the Director of Admissions to find out more information.
Female Students - We are happy to be welcoming our first class of 6th grade girls for the 2023-2024 school year. As we continue to grow the middle school over the next two years, 6th grade and 9th grade will be the primary entry points for female students.
The Admissions Process:
1.) Submit an Application
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: Admissions for 2024-2025 is now closed. Please check back in September to begin the process for the 2025-2026 school year.
2.) RSVP for an Open House

3.) Attend a Prospective Student Day
Join us at The Neighborhood Academy to complete several steps in the admissions process. Upon arrival, students and families will participate in a family interview. Next, they will shadow a current student to get a feel for classes and expectations. Finally, they will take an academic test to determine core grade-level knowledge. You cannot test your way into or out of the school; this test only serves to give us a benchmark to measure your student’s academic growth.
4.) Supply Records
All academic, attendance, health, and discipline records, as well as household Federal Income Tax Return are due.
5.) Admissions Decision for Summer Programming
Students will be invited to participate in our summer programming. This is a mandatory prerequisite for admission in the fall.
